发明名称 Cinema or TV stereoscopic image production - uses two oppositely polarised films covering left and right images viewed alternately, through polarised spectacles
摘要
Stereoscopic images are viewed in relief when obtained in either colour or black and white from TV or cinematic screen. Images are observed through polarised spectacles from recordings made by two cameras located such as to represent viewing by an observer. A camera with two objectives (O1, O2) takes views of a subject (S) at angles representing eyes of an observer. Recording is effected by a rotating mirror (H) which directs the image from left or right (D) objective lens for recording. Mirror and recording medium are synchronised by a servo mechanism. Reproduction of images is achieved by passing a rotating film in front of the image. This film has vertical and horizontally polarised areas moved in sync. with a reproducing equipment image.
