<p>A filter for removing trash from fibres moving in an air flow to an open end spinning machine includes a suction duct surrounded by a rotatable cylinder internally of which are mounted filters. The cylinder is mounted in a chamber through which the fibres pass and is divided internally into four sections by radial walls. Air passes radially inwardly into the suction duct through a section so that trash collects on the filter in that particular section. When a filter of a particular section is blocked, the cylinder can be rotated so that the blocked filter is adjacent e.g. a door in the chamber and can be cleaned. Meanwhile filtering continues through another section. The filter is cheap and allows filtering to continue whilst it is being cleaned.</p> |
