<p>The housing is in two (pref. thermosetting plastic-polyester) parts, an upper, rectangular one contg. the pump and heater, and a lower, cylindrical one contg. the water filter. Pref. the gas, electric or oil heater extends from the upper part of the housing, down into the filter, so that the water is heated while it is being filtered. Near the bottom the filter compartment has a shoulder, which supports a plate in which slits have been formed by cutting and pressing, the slits are designed to distribute the water (which must pass through them horizontally) uniformly through the filter material. The upper, part of the housing pref. has a cover, with a gap round to provide permanent ventilation.</p> |
