<p>The lamp fitting is positioned between an overhead distribution frame and a tube carrying the lamp bulb and shade. It has a connecting part with an upper cylinder containing members which support an internally threaded lower cylinder housing the externally threaded top part of the support tube. Wires pass through this threaded top part to an inner member with flanges around it, resting on a flange inside the base of the upper cylinder. Above the flanges part of the inner member is a rim which encloses the bottom of a block with flanges which slide on a horizontal partition across the base of the frame (2). Pins protruding inside this rim fit into recesses in the flanged block.</p> |
