The inflatable section (10) consists of a central part (1) and end parts (2) roughly half the height. The central part comprises lengthwise vertical partitions separating compartments. The partitions extend into the ends to form platforms. The end platforms (2) also incorporate additional vertical partitions to the same number as there are compartments in the central part. Between each platform and the central part is a short intermediate area connecting them. Each separate compartment has a valve for inflation and deflation, positioned on vertical sides. The valve units for each platform of a section are preferably situated on the same side of the section.
