PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network management system wherein a server and devices are connected with a network, and the server controls whether or not the devices perform prescribed operation and a designated device can perform the prescribed operation when the server cannot do such control. SOLUTION: When it is impossible to receive from an accounting server the data showing that image forming devices (202a-202d) can perform their operations, it is judged that an abnormality has occurred on the accounting server 202. When it is judged that the abnormality has occurred on the accounting server 202, the image forming devices (202a-202d) are set to be usable/ unusable beforehand. Those which are set to be usable among the image forming devices (202a-202d) can perform the prescribed operation without receiving the data indicating that the operation can be performed. |
