<p>1496509 Dispensing tags DENNISON MFG CO Ltd 9 Dec 1974 [7 Dec 1973] 53218/74 Heading D1G A machine which advances a stock of tags 30 in the form of a ladder from a reel 41 uses a spiral screw 42 which receives a cross member of a tag in each groove. A knife blade 50a in a groove 51 rotating with the screw cuts the ladder into individual tags. Plungers 53 finally push the individual tags along needles 55. The plunger is operated by the handle 60, and the screw feed by a hand operated crank (46, Fig. I not shown) through gears 45 and 44. In a modification (Fig. 15 not shown) twin screws are adjustable in separation to accommodate tags with long cross members, Other modifications include the provision of electrically driven screw feed, fluid or cam operated plungers, and only one needle.</p> |
