<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device for electronic equipment in which ON/OFF switch operation in a specific direction or manipulated variable input can be properly selected. SOLUTION: Operation input indicating a direction is done on electronic equipment which performs specific processing according to a specified program. The operation input (S1) is accepted by using a two-dimensional sensor and the direction where the manipulated variable is largest is determined as a detection axis and the manipulated variable is regarded as a detested value (S2). A mode matching the input is determined according to a program in execution (S3) and in manipulated variable mode, the detected value is supplied to the electronic equipment as a manipulated variable as it is. In switch mode, on the other hand, the absolute value of the detected value is compared with a threshold Th (S5) and a switch operation signal which indicates an ON state when the threshold is exceeded or an OFF state when not is supplied (S6).</p> |
