<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus which can detect vertical axial deviation simply and accurately in an onboard radar. SOLUTION: This apparatus includes a means for collecting data of the minimum detection distance about an static object upward as detected by the radar, a means for computing frequency at which the minimum detection distance is below the first threshold based on the data collected, and a means which judges that a vertical axial deviation exists when the frequency exceeds the second threshold. The apparatus also includes a means for collecting data of the maximum detection distance about an moving object as detected by the radar, a means for computing the frequency at which the maximum detection distance is below the first threshold based on the data collected, and a means which judges that a vertical axial deviation exists when the frequency exceeds the second threshold.</p> |
