<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome the problem that a data transfer speed can not be in creased when a USB-FDD is used as a bus-powered device. SOLUTION: In addition to a USB interface connector 17, and USB-FDD 10 is provided with a power connector 18. When the USB-FDD 10 is used as an internal device of a personal computer 2, the power connector 18 is engaged with a power connector 49 on the side of the personal computer 2 and it is used as a self-powered device. When voltage is applied to a terminal 48 of the power connector 49, the USB-FDD operates as the self-powered device and is controlled so as to have a high data transfer speed.</p> |
