Heat treating the seam on longitudinally welded pipe - via inductor mounted on yoke which can swivel in two vertical planes

In a device for induction heat treating the welded seam on a longitudinally welded pipe, the pipe travels longitudinally under an inductor which can be adjusted vertically on a mobile frame. The inductor is mounted on a yoke between two legs; and the bottom end of each leg is fitted with a roller running along the seam; the yoke is mounted on a horizontal shaft (1) so it can pivot as the welded pipe passes under the two rollers. Pivot shaft (1) is pref. located at 90 degrees to shaft (1) so the holder can swivel up and down during the travel of the pipe. Adjustable stops pref. limit the angle through which the yoke can pivot on shaft (1). A constant distance can be maintained between the line inductor and the pipe, irrespective of any distortion present in the pipe.
