<p>Wheelchair comprises for each of its two drive wheels (12) an electric motor which can be driven in forward or reverse directions. Between the back (3) and/or leg or f oot rest, and the chair frame (18) are displacer mechanism (5) each with a motor (14) which can be connected by a switch (10) to the motor for a drive whell and which drives a spindle (26) with a thread (27) and is pivotably connected to the back or frame. The thread runs in a nut (28) pivotably connected to the other part, viz. back or frame. On both sides of the spindle thread is a threadless zone (32, 33) of which the dia. is no greater than the core dia. of the thread. A spring (37) biasses the thread towards the nut at the thread end which is biassed away from the nut by forces applied by the user or force of gravity in the axial diction of the spindle.</p> |
