Liquid container closure with fixed and pivotable sections - with lock for holding pivotable section in bent position

Liq. container closure, pref. made of polyethylene or polypropylene, comprises a fixed section, and a pivotable tubular section forming an actuator. The pivotable section is integral with the fixed section which has a locking element for holding the pivotable section in a bent position. Pref. the pivotable section has an oval or lenticular internal cross-section, and on its side lying in the direction of pivoting is a thicker wall with a flat external profile, confined to the area above the point of bending. The fixed section pref. has in the region of attachment of the pivotable section a projection which fixes the point of bending of the pivotable section. The closure is easy to mfr. and allows a provision of large dispensing openings.
