An adhesive or jointing material may be used in the seam, and a closure may be secured to opposite ends of a plastics, fibre or cardboard container simultaneously. A separate metal peripheral ring is used, Fig. 4, if the rest of the closure is of plastics &c. A rim on the rest of the closure, Figs. 5 and 6 (not shown), may then be inserted in the bent channel, followed by insertion of the container wall or the closure and wall may be inserted simultaneously, either producing the seam of Fig. 7. |
