<p>Transport unit in continuously operating packaging machine has an endless conveyer band with an improved support in the form of a spring screen (14) whose one end is attached to the machine frame and the other end to a constructional unit which moves to-and-fro and comprises the guide rollers and sealing jaws (23). The spring screen consists of two parts (20, 25) made of plastic elements or a sawn-through plate. The spring screen exhibits an extension ratio of 1:50 and has a limited mass. Thus a compressed spring screen around 10mm in length can extend to a length of approx. 500mm.</p> |
