The spinning equipment uses an eddying airstream to carry the fibres in a whirling and twisting path, to develop a yarn by ringless spinning. The spinning chamber, the air channel and the air collector form a complete hermetically sealed system. Part of the air channel is formed by a sleeve which is hermetically sealed to the spinning chamber and is airtight while sliding axially as the spinning chamber position is moved, the remainde r of the air channel being flexible to accommodate this movement. The design allows movement of the component parts without destroying the airtight seals, simplifying the service of the equipment.
