Counters for seconds ,minutes and hours are solidly attached to rotating elements (18,38,41). A clutch mechanism (17) is able to engage the rotating elements with a driven wheel train selectively using a pillar wheel and sprung arms (50,44,45) which operate periodically to displace a clutch disc axially. The clutch mechanism (17) when it operates drives the rotating element representing seconds (18) and this drive is further transmitted to the minutes and hours elements (38,41) through gear trains (35,37,38,35',40,40',41). An indexing pawl (51) is lockable on to a countershaft (37) by a peg in the declutched position. |
