Edge dressing tool for chipboard panel - uses cylindrical grinder wheel with bevel edge to avoid breakage of board

The chip board (1) is fed past a grinding wheel (3). The centreline (5) of the grinding wheel is placed at an angle to the edge of the board. The grinding wheel cuts with part of the side face of the wheel. The sharp corner is dressed off the wheel so that part of the side face of the wheel near its circumference is conical. This conical section engages with the side face of the board and gives this fae a concave radius. As the wheel does not touch the edges of the board, there is no dange of chips being torn out of the plate.
