The adjusting device for electrical measuring instruments has a limiting contact enabling the rated value indicator to be set by means of a flexible shaft. The latter is coupled to a drive at its end lying inside the housing. The drive component is embedded in a U-shaped mounting. This drive component co-operates with another drive component mounted on the rated value indicator. A flank tapers like a wedge inwardly and is so positioned at the mounting point (2) that the taper forms a clamping position. This prevents the drive component (3) freeing itself from its mounting.
