The door or window, or other glass-holding frame, is made up from hollow mitre-cut metal or plastic batten profiles, with interconnecting corner angle-pieces with shanks thrust into channel-shaped hollows and detachable connected to the batten profiles by special connecting elements. The shanks (5, 6) on the angle-piece corner connectors (7) are wedge-shaped on the outside (9) so as to widen towards their open ends. The connecting elements are wedge pieces (8) tapered at a matching angle, and these can be driven in towards the shank open ends. Each hollow batten profile may incorporate several hollows and/or insertion channels for the shanks of several angle-pieces. There are no visible breaks in the frame.
