Electric connection between sliding door and wall - has cable with spring loaded support rolling during door movement

The design for the support of cable during the sliding of the door reduces maintenance by fitting the support between the wall and the door. The spring-loading of the support roller prevents relative shifts due to wear. The flat cable (3) is secured to the vertical wall of the slide door (2) as well as to a holder bracket (5) of the wall (1). The cable forms an U-loop and remains in contact with both the door and the wall during all movements of the door. When the door is in the closed position, the main part of the cable bears against the wall bracket (5), while in the open position the cable rests on the door. Enhanced flexural stiffness of the cable (3) w.r.t. the horizontal axis is achieved with the spherical segment cross section of the support band (6) whose convex side faces the cable. The support band is connected to the cable by clips (7).
