<p>The frame has a frame (10) consisting of two parallel struts (11) between which extend sprung slats (12). Each slat (12) has a core of meander-shaped wire extending in the lengthwise direction, the meanders extending the width of the slat. The wire is embedded in plastics which fills the cavities between the meanders. The surface of the wire is roughened or coated, in order to increase its adhesion, and the slat may be formed of extruded plastics. The meanders of the wire may vary in length and width, and have straight pieces at the top in the lengthwise direction of the slat (12).</p> |
