An electro-mechanical regulator is for an electronic digital display for a time measuring instrument. It has pulse generators, counters and a display regulator. The electronic counting device comprises one or more position counters. The display regulator is operated by means of a control element. The second pulse generator produces signals with variable pulse frequency for display adjustment. The second pulse generator (1) consists of a pulse transmitter with several pulse producing elements (12) and a sensing element (13) for scanning the pulse producing elements (12). The adjustment speed of the display is proportional to the relative speed between the sensing element and the pulse generating elements.
