PURPOSE:To obtain an optical recording medium easy to prepare and excellent in heat resistance by providing a recording layer containing a trianthraquinocyclopropene derivative having a specific structure on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:In order to prepare an optical recording medium using a trianthraquinocyclopropane derivative represented by formula I(wherein R1, R2, R3, R4, R5 and R6 are an atom or atomic group respectively arbitrarily selected from a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, a carbonyl group and a nitro group), this org. dye is dissolved in a solvent to prepare a recording layer composition which is, in turn, applied to a substrate receiving no effect of dissolution due to a solvent and dried to form a recording layer. This trianthraquinocyclopropane derivative has an absorption band in the wavelength region (in the vicinity of 780nm) of semiconductor laser beam becoming recording reproducing light and has thermal decomposition temp. of about 290 deg.C. |
