SYNTHESIS OF FAUJASITE A process for preparing a faujasitic zeolite having a silica to alumina ratio of between 3 to 6 by adding nucleation centers having the composition 12 to 19 Na2O:1 to 10 A12O3:12 to 19 SiO2:220 to 900 H2O to a reaction slurry having a composition within the range of 1.2 to 3 Na2O:4 to 7 SiO2: A12O3 :40 to 200 H2O. These methods eliminate large quantities of raw materials used in the previous syntheses and greatly reduce the effluent pollution problems in those processes. |
