PURPOSE: A method for remotely controlling a base station by using a mobile phone terminal is provided to call to the mobile phone terminal from an operation center when a failure is generated in the base station, so as to restore the failure and control the base station even when a failure of a base station processor is generated. CONSTITUTION: If remote control for a base station is required due to a failure in the base station, etc., a phone of an operation center sends a call to a mobile phone terminal of the base station(200). The mobile phone terminal of the base station responds to the call by being set to an automatic response mode(202). The phone of the operation center transmits a password for remote control to the mobile phone terminal of the base station(204). The mobile phone terminal of the base station delivers the password to a controller for a base station control processor(206). And the controller recognizes the password and controls the base station control processor through the password(208).
