<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid composition for ink jet, excellent in friction resistance and transferability, and a recording method and a recording apparatus using the composition. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid composition contains at least water, a photopolymerization initiator, a water-soluble organic solvent, and more than one kind of polymerizable compound capable of effecting polymerization reaction using the initiator. At least one of the glass transition temperature (Tg) of the polymerizable compounds is 50°C or higher and at least one of the glass transition temperature (Tg) is 10°C or lower.
