WEAR-RESISTANT FLAME-RETARDANT RESIN COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-halogenous resin composition which is excellent in wear resistance and flame retardance and is suitable e.g. as a covering material for insulated wires such as automotive insulated wires.

SOLUTION: The wear-resistant flame-retardant resin composition contains 100 pts.wt. polypropylene homopolymer having a melt flow rate of 1.0 (g/10 min, at 230°C ) or lower and an elongation at break of 200% or higher and 10-20 pts.wt. phosphorus/nitrogen-based flame retardant and has elongation at break of 100% or higher. The phosphorus/nitrogen-based flame retardant used has a nitrogen content of 20-23 wt.% and a phosphorus content of 18-21 wt.%.
