Bottle closure cooperating with groove in bottle neck - has press down closing ring kept in closed position by tear off tab between ring and closure flange

The bottle neck is fitted with a groove (1a) near the top. The stopper is made up of a circular top piece (2a) and a cylindrical portion (2d) which is fitted with an inner ring to match the groove (1a). The outside of the cylinder has a flange (2g) at the lower end and a vertical land (2f) at the same level as the groove. The outer ring (3) has two external tabs (3f). The outer cylinder is able to move upwards towards the upper flange of the stopper. In the closed position the outer ring presses on the land (2f) and forces the ring in the groove. The tear off tab (4a) keeps the outer cylinder in the closed position.
