<p>The lifting device comprises a hook pivoting upwards in a vertical plane about its axis to release the load handled. The device is particularly for handling items with suspension eyes, such as sacks. Tipping can be effected automatically by a wt. in an overhung position in front of and above the pivot axis, or by a ram housed directly in the hook support. This second method eliminates the need for control cables over fixed pulley supports; the ram fluid tube may be fixed to chains.</p> |
