The water ski is self propelled by means of a bicycle frame (A), mounted centrally between a float (K) each side. The fram extends downwards to fit (a, b, c) onto the ski (L) at a lower level. This ski is provided with a keel (M) and rudder (F), propulsion being obtained by a propeller (H) drive through a gear train (G, N, I, J) and a pedal operated chain wheel (D). On pedalling, the craft moves forwards on its floats. As speed increases, the ski emerges from beneath the water and is finally progressing along the surface. The keel provides stability and the rudder is steered by a cable (E) linked to the bicycle handlebars (C).
|
