The pad is used in the medical treatment of adipose tissue, a product being applied to the skin of the patient. This product has a cellulitic and lipolytic action on the subcutaneous tissues to attack the hypertrophy of the adipose layers. A layer of cotton wool is covered with gauze on its face contacting the skin, this pad is soaked with the fluid. The outside of the pad has a layer of impermeable material fixed to it. On this layer are straps or cords, tied around the body of the patient. An enveloping garment may be used to support the pad.
