<p>The method is for tensioning a sheet covering for goods carried on a vehicle with a load platform (23). The vehicle side is covered by a flexible sheet (11), suspended from a support (13), on rollers running in it. The lower part of the sheet (15) has straps fitted on its inner surface. The straps have hooks at their ends and these are attached to parts welded to a shaft (19) which runs longitudinally below the load platform. The shaft turns in bearings under the action of a winch. The hooks are first attached to the parts on the shaft, which is then turned, so applying uniform tension over the length of the sheet.</p> |
