Transformer matches amplifier output and input stages to a cable. It consists of a cylindrical coil former with three separate windings in helical grooves and of a ferrite core. The grooves (R1, R2) have two starts run parallel to each other and have different depth. The first winding (w1) consists of n individual winding parts connected in parallel and placed at the bottom of the deeper groove (R1). The second winding (W2) is placed above the first, so that W2=nwl. The third winding (w3) is placed in the second groove (R2), and leads to winding (w1-w3) lie in at least one axial wire channel (D).
