Suitable acrylates are polyacrylate esters; the use of triethylene glycoldimethacrylate and 1, 3-butylene glycol dimethacrylate mixed with lauryl methacrylate being exemplified. Any nonionic or anionic surfactant may be used, provided that it will dissolve in components (1) and (2). Many examples of ethoxylated and sulphonated materials are given. The compositions may be used to impregnate porous materials and excess composition not absorbed by the pores may be washed off with water owing to the self-emulsifying characteristic of the compositions.</p> |
