<p>The surgical suction bulb is a circular ellipsoid, made in two halves stuck together, and with the inlet (11) and outlet (12) stubs placed equatorially, where the quicker curvature gives greater stiffness. The suction is generated by squeezing the bulb with the stopper (13) removed from the outlet, and replacing the stopper before letting go. The inlet stub (11) is pref. fitted with a non-return valve whose moving element has projecting ridges. Internally, the bulb is smooth and free of projections.</p> |
