Load controlled brake valve - has venting bypass line with adjustable pressure control valve to modulate rear wheel braking force

The load sensitive brake pressure control valve has a balance piston (2) with a variable effect ring surface on the brake pressure side and with the piston bridged by a bypass line incorporating a spring loaded non-return valve. This sets the pressure at which the brake force modulation commences. The system provides a simple control to regulate the point at which the brake force to the rear wheels starts to modulate. The spring (25) of the non return valve is easily adjusted from outside the valve, or the spring can be replaced by a spring of a different characteristic.
