Cordless iron with board - with high frequency magnetic fields in board for heating iron

Cordless iron is heated by means of an energy transmission system mounted in or underneath the ironing board. The system comprises several HF magnetic fields over an area of the board. The iron has a conductive layer for heating. Pref. the magnetic fields are produced by several generators with coils mounted beneath the ironing board. The board pref. includes a section for depositing the iron, beneath which is mounted a further coil for generating a magnetic field. The conductive layer may consist of homogeneous material covering the sole plate of the iron, or a short-circuited coil of conductive material. The iron is easy to handle, with a low accident risk.
