Tubular electrodes plates are for lead accumulators to reduce the chances of the individual tubes from bursting open. They can be made from a number of layers of materials. The tubular shape encasement is reinforced by fins transverse to the longitudinal axis of the tube. The transver fins are parallel and are not evenly spaced and are fitted additional to longitudinal fins along the longitudinal axis. The longitudinal and transverse fins are held in position by plastic rings. The hull of the tube consists of several layers. Which are made from materials which are resistant to acids.
