Quiet electronic touch operated power switch - uses power relay and printed circuit resiliently attached to reduce noise

A compact, simple and relatively silent electronically operated power finger switch in which the main switching element a power relay is not coupled rigidly to the remainder of the unit. Thus reducing the noise produced when the switch is operated is presented. It can deliver currents greater than those conveniently handled by triacs. The switch contains a printed circuit (1) carrying the necessary electronic components. this is of a roughly circular shape, and fixed to it by a clip in a slot is the main switching cover relay (2). this is not a rigid attachment and the realy connections (6, 7) are free to move to a certain extent.
