<p>1495532 Container with combined safety and simple closure G H MORRIS 10 Dec 1974 [20 Dec 1973] 53392/74 Heading B8T A container is provided with a reversible reusable closure comprising a first position of use for child-proof securement, and an inverted, second position of use whereby the closure can be secured in simple fashion. The child-proof arrangement can be a bayonet fitting comprising diametrically opposed, relatively short and long arcuate ribs 28, 29, the container having a rim 33 and rim notch 34. The bayonet fitting may be augmented by a screw thread 37 upon the container. The simple closure arrangement may be a push fit plug 39 having an annular bead or lug arrangement. The plug may be circular or generally rectangular, Fig. 8. The closure may comprise a horizontal central partition from which closure arrangement bearing sleeves extend in opposite directions. The simple closure may then merely comprise a relatively thinner sleeve, Fig. 15 (not shown) to engage with the rim 33, on a sleeve having lugs or a bead, Figs. 12, 14 (not shown). The simple closure may comprise a combination of the sleeve and plug arrangements.</p> |
