1495794 Fischer-Tropsch synthesis MOBIL OIL CORP 21 April 1975 [24 April 1974] 16369/75 Heading C5E Hydrocarbons are produced from a synthesis gas by contacting the gas at 400-1000‹ F. and at elevated pressure with a catalyst comprising a metal or metal compound having a catalytic activity for the reduction of CO and a crystalline aluminosilicate having a pore diameter greater than 5 Š, a ratio of at least 12 and a constraint index (defined) of 1-12. Suitable zeolites are ZSM-5, 11, 12, 35 and 38, preferably at least partially in the hydrogen form. The metal may be Cu, Zn, Th or a Group VIII metal and may be in the form of Fischer- Tropsch or methanol synthesis catalyst. |
