<p>1495467 Aqueous coating compositions WACKER-CHEMIE GmbH 9 Oct 1975 [14 Oct 1974] 41423/75 Headings C3P and C3Q Compositions comprise (1) 6 to 32À5 weight per cent of rubber and/or plastics particles of size 0À05 to 5 Ám., (2) 40 to 75 weight per cent of rubber and/or plastics particles of size 0À01- 10 mm., (3) 0À5 to 10 weight per cent of a water-soluble formaldehyde polycondensation resin, (4) 0À1 to 5 weight per cent of formaldehyde or condensate that will release formaldehyde on hydrolysis and (5) 18 to 50 weight per cent of water. The compositions may also comprise protective colloids, fillers, non-slip additives and reflective materials, and may be used for providing floor coverings and sound absorbing layers on walls. Examples describe compositions comprising (1) aqueous ethylene/ vinyl acetate copolymer, polychloroprene and styrene/butadiene rubber dispersions; (2) ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer granulates containing chalk, iron oxide and calcium stearate, ethylene/vinyl acetate powder, scrap rubber granulates and foamed polystyrene; (3) phenol/ formaldehyde and melamic / formaldehyde resins; optionally with quartz powder and curing catalysts such as chromium nitrate, aluminium chloride, aluminium sulphate and oxalic acid.</p> |
