<p>A drive system is provided in which a pair of fixedly mounted motors imparts simultaneous and independent rotational and translational motion to a disc such as a print disc containing a character font. By means of a belt and pulley system, different rotations of the two motors produce different combinations of rotational and translational motions of the disc. The system may also drive elements other than a disc, e.g., a bar and pen arrangement such as that typically employed in an X-Y plotter.</p> |
