1510771 Bearings HOESCH WERKE AG 9 Feb 1977 [13 March 1976] 05347/77 Heading F2A A unitary spacing member for a rolling bearing comprises a shell subdivided by a wall 10 and at least one reinforcement 12 provided on either side of the wall at a distance from the inner surface 11 of the shell and connected thereto by webs 13, each reinforcement having spaced ribs 14 which extend towards the axis or the plane of symmetry of the member. The free edges of the webs, the reinforcement, and the ribs are shaped to correspond to the surface of the rolling elements with which the member is associated in use. In the case of a ball spacing member, each reinforcement may have a generally circular form (as shown), or a generally polygonal form. In the case of a roller spacing member (Figs. 5 and 6, not shown), each reinforcement has a zig-zag cross-section. The spacing member is formed integrally of plastics material. |
