<p>For the purpose of cost-effective disposal of activated and/or contaminated parts of a nuclear power station, use is made, on the one hand, of the cooling ponds, locks, liquid-waste system and waste gas system, present in the nuclear power station, to deactivate and decontaminate these parts, and additional treatment devices are connected in or to the latter, on the other hand. These additional devices essentially serve to reduce the volume of the large activated and/or contaminated parts, which are to be replaced, for example by chopping, compressing, embedding in glass, so that said parts can be packed in the protective zone and subsequently removed from the station.</p> |
