The framework consists of two metal profiles, faced together along one edge and secured by a polymer joint (15) whic grips (3, 4) provided on the profiles. The interior profile (1) has a flat face (5), with bent out plates (9) which help to secure the framework to the masonry, another flat face (6), to which the timber of the framework is fixed, and a 45 deg. degree sloping edge (7) which projects over the masonry and has bent out plates (8) which serve to secure the framework to the plaster facing of the masonry. The exterior profile (2) has a flat race (10) abutting against the masonry, a butt end (11) and another flat face (12) against which the timber is placed, and a shoulder (13) which forms a sealing edge for the timber.
