Coking coal transfer with moisture control - classifies coal to 0.4 mm and has dry pneumatic system for fine material

Coking coal is transported by separating the ground coal coming off the granulation belt. This will be in the form of particles less than 3 mm. It is then separated into two fractions, one above and one below 0.4mm. The fine fraction is then transported in a dry state separately from the coarse fraction which can be hydraucially conveyed. The coarse fraction is formed into a slurry and pumped. This can be done in slug form with an ore slurry following it down the line. Alternatively it can be added to an ore slurry with disproportionately less additional water (e.g. 10%). The density of the ore slurry is adjusted to that of the coal (approx. 1.4 kg/dm3).
