<p>Two clamp rails (4, 7) which are used to join that furniture panels (2, 3), are made from profile extrusions. The clamp rails are such that two or more panels can be clamped together, either as a butt joint or perpendicular to each other. The edges of the clamp rails are provided with short right angled rims (6, 9) which engage into location slots along the panel edges. Thus only moderate clamping force is required to produce a firm panel connection. The clamping force is provided by screws (13) and trapped nuts (12) which are located along the center line the clamping profiles.</p> |
