<p>Electrothermal locking switch for washing machine, dishwasher, etc. comprises a bimetallic strip which actuates a locking slide and which bears a heating coil and a contact for bridging the coil on deflection of the strip. The bearing point of the strip is arranged so that the strip extends beyond the bearing point on both sides. The strip bears the heating coil on one side of the bearing point, and the bridging contact on the other side, and the locking slide is connected to the side bearing the coil. The switch is of simple construction and easy to adjust, and even if the locking slide jams, the heating coil is switched off on reaching switching temp.</p> |
